Volunteer with us

Short-term mission weeks (summer)

Each year we look for volunteers to help run the summer camps together with our Hungarian brothers and sisters. Volunteers will usually have either experience in Christian youth ministry or have a desire to share their love of God with teenagers. The camps seek to share good practice in youth work, and model expository preaching, also bringing the native English speaker to Hungary. Within a team, you can grow in your faith in the Lord Jesus, grow in your understanding of serving God’s world-wide church, and enjoy a rich, fun experience on a week of camp.

You may be Hungarian living in England, and would like to find out more about how you could be involved in your homeland. Find out more, we’d love to hear from you!

Help from Home

Often it’s not possible to travel during the summer or for winter events, or maybe camps themselves are not for you. But we’re blessed to have support from the UK shores, and would welcome anyone interested in volunteering in other ways. From admin assistance, prayer support, help with transport or hosting for UK-based events, music involvement and more, there’s a range of needs to meet. Please let us know if you have a particular interest or skill, or would just like to help out.

Been before?

It may be that you could consider coming on one of our Autumn/Winter/Spring events, which we run as part-reunion, part-taster camps for previous campers and their interested friends.

For those who have been to Hungary on camp before, this is an ideal opportunity to come for a shorter time and keep the relationships going with those friends from last summer. Perhaps it’s not possible to come in the summer, but here on a weekend camp you could encourage those you know and share your faith with other unbelieving teenagers. Find out more here.

Gap Year

It is hoped in the future that we will also take on volunteers for six or twelve month periods on a gap-year programme. Any further developments about this will be posted here.
